Iran Tribunal is a campaign established in December 2009 by families of the political prisoners massacred by state executions in 1980’s in Iran. It includes survivors of mass killings of 1980s, political and labour activists, women´s rights activists, lawyers, students, children´s rights activists, writers, artists and human right activists who have been holding regular meetings since October 2007 to assess the possibility of setting up a commission of inquiry and a symbolic international tribunal to investigate the mass executions and massacre of political prisoners in 1980s and to hold the government of Islamic Republic of Iran accountable for its crime against humanity.
In Vancouver, we are celebrating the life and efforts of Mehrangiz Jahanshahi a mother of an executed political prisoner and a tireless human rights activist.
We invite you to join us for a bilingual (English and Persian) night of slide show, poetry, and oral history.
